OBO Salem Township Residential Housing Rehabilitation Request for Qualifications (RFQ)

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
Salem Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, is advertising for Requests of Qualifications (RFQ) from local General Contractors for the purpose of providing Residential Housing Rehabilitation for the 2020 CDBG Grant Program.
Salem Township is creating a list of pre-qualified housing rehabilitation construction companies to bid on projects through its housing rehabilitation program. This program, funded through the Community Development Block Grant, that improves the quality of housing for low to moderate income homeowners. Salem Township anticipates rehabilitating four (4) owner-occupied homes in 2022-2023.
Information about the project and a complete packet for the Request For Qualifications (RFQ) can be obtained by contacting Salem Township, at 15 Twp. Building Rd., Hamlin PA 18427 or the Wayne County Redevelopment Authority, at 355 Beach Lake Hwy., Honesdale PA 18431. Individual copies of the proposal should be submitted to the attention “ Salem Twp.” at either of the addresses listed above and clearly marked on the outside “Request for Qualifications-Salem Township Housing Rehabilitation Construction Services”. Contractor applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.

The Wayne County Commissioners understand that the cost of utilities has significantly increased this year; and they have allocated funds from the 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to help Residents pay for the high cost of heating their homes this Winter Season. The CDBG Grant funding allocated is limited and the Fuel Assistance Grant Applications are available at the Wayne County Redevelopment Authority located at 355 Beach Lake Hwy., Honesdale PA 18431. Applications can be picked up, mailed or emailed by request by calling 570-253-4882. *Salem Township is offering Housing Rehabilitation with their CDBG funding; contact the Township at 570-689-4663. Honesdale Borough offers fuel assistance through the Reverend Doherty Fund; contact Honesdale Borough at 570-253-0731.
